This course helps you strengthen your mathematical understanding, practise key skills and approach 11+ questions with greater confidence.
Our course is organised into six main topics, each covering ten subtopics:
Fractions: Equivalent fractions, simplifying, comparing and calculating with fractions.
Decimals: Place value, ordering, rounding and decimal calculations.
Percentages: Finding percentages, making conversions and calculating increases and decreases.
Ratio: Simplifying ratios, sharing quantities and solving proportion problems.
Algebra: Patterns, expressions, substitution and equations.
Geometry: Shapes, angles, symmetry, perimeter, area and volume.
Start with the first subtopic and work through the explanation.
Pause teaching videos to attempt examples yourself.
Complete the practice questions, showing your working.
Check your answers and revisit any mistakes.
Return to challenging questions later to test your understanding.
Have a pencil, rubber, ruler and exercise book ready. Print any worksheets you wish to complete on paper.
Practise without a calculator unless the activity specifically asks you to use one.
Take time to understand each method before attempting questions against the clock. Mistakes help you identify what to practise next.
A little focused practice, done regularly, will help you make steady progress.
